What Is The TaoTao TBR7’s Oil Capacity? – FAQ

Per the TBR7 manual, the oil capacity is 1.1L, which 1.1 liters can be converted to 1.16 quarts.

Now, this is the ‘total’ oil capacity from a dry sump/engine. This capacity is not the amount needed for oil changes. For each oil change of my TBR7, I use one qt of oil.

I buy my motorcycle oil by the gallon. Buying my TBR7’s oil in this amount allows for easy, cheaper oil changes. Easier and cheaper are vital features to making frequent oil changes.

When I fill the TBR7 oil sump back up, I use measuring cups. I measure out 1 quart of oil or the refill, run the engine for a moment and measure the oil on the dipstick. And, it’s all good for me.

I buy gallon jugs, but use a measuring cup for my Oil Fill-ups.

Just Me…Newly Licensed.

Hi I’m Tom, A New Motorcycle Rider and Blog Author.

I am a new motorcycle rider(Pa Motorcycle Learner’s Permit at the end of 2020, and I received a full M-Class Pa Motorcycle License in 2021, only after passing the Pa Motorcycle Safety Course).

I bought my first motorcycle, a TaoTao TBR7 (A Chinese Dual-sport motorcycle), at the beginning of 2021 and have been doing upgrades on that motorcycle since.

I added to my motorcycle collection by buying a Boom Vader Gen 2 motorcycle in 2022, and that little Grom-Clone bike has been upgraded by me as well.

I continue to ride my Boom Vader Gen 2 motorcycle as well as my TaoTao TBR7 dual-sport bike.

Fun Fact: I’ve only been on one group ride.
